The government of Vanuatu has made a groundbreaking move on the international scene by initiating one of the most ambitious climate policies worldwide. Their steadfast commitment to reaching 100% renewable energy in electricity production by 2030 is exemplified by the Coconut Oil for Power program, which plays a crucial role in achieving this objective. Vanuatu’s focus on converting copra into oil for power generation aligns perfectly with Future Fund’s corporate values of promoting domestic value addition, sustainability, and self-sufficiency.
